You can see which phone they are doing trade-in promotions on. For a basic iPhone 13 which is $729.99, trading in an iPhone 11 for $700 off over 24mo, you will be responsible for a $1.25 payment for the phone over 24mo which I think is pretty decent.

I was able to trade in a locked iPhone. I have no affiliation with Xfinity but this is currently the best trade-in offer I was able to find. They use VZW towers but I think their cust service is subpar and they send a LOT of texts regarding your account. A hyper annoying thing with Xfinity Mobile is they never send me any shipping confirmation emails so I never know when the device ships until the device shows up.
You will be required to be their customer for 24 month and use their plan?

Muchas gracias for your response, but I went to Metro PCS.

For this the Boost iphone 11 deal, do I have to have the sim that comes with it on the phone for 12 months or I can use other Boost sim since I do have service with Boost for the past 3 years.

You mentioned that people can purchase the phone, pay service fee for the 1st month, stop the service, then wait 11 more months for the phone to be unlocked?
Yes it will

Am I missing something? Isn't the phone locked to Boost for 12 months?
How can your "I'm the victim" sad story be possible?
It's prepaid. There's no contract so people can just dip whenever they want.

Basically Boost will reimburse us for the cost difference after a couple of weeks. We get a commission of usually $25 for the first month, second, and third month. Then another $25 after the sixth month.

For many dealers there are what are called residuals. This is an important part of our income. This is from all the customers that we have activated or upgraded. We may get .25 or maybe .75 or even 1.25 (just throwing numbers out) depending on their plan and how long they have been with Boost.

However, if less than almost 75% of the lines we activate don't maintain service for at least three months we lose ALL of the residuals for ALL of the customers for three months.

Also, having too low of a percentage can affect what phones we can purchase and how many we can get from the warehouse. If you can't get phones, you can't make sales. You can't stay open.

Then there are in some cases chargebacks. This is more when a dealer is probably doing something wrong or fraud. They will take back the reimbursements that they paid.

If there is fraud, I am in favor of cutting those dealers off. We have enough problems with fraudsters trying to get phones from us. We don't need bad dealers too.

Hopefully this explains well enough though it was brief.
Thanks for the info, great to have insight into your business.

BTW, ignore the haters. You will never win, and they may have legitimate grips with the company. No matter how much you like Boost, you are not getting paid to defend corporate or other dealers.

Hope you continue to add your insight to the forums.

Thats cool for you if you use T-Mobile with their high cost monthly plans.
For a single line user their plan for 24 month you will pay 60sx24=1440 (or even 36 month contract???). For 2 lines 90x24=2160
Its just a plan
Then you can add discounted phone value 200 or 300 depends on phone model?

I'm using boost will pay 26*24=624 and if to play boost one daily casino - will save about $75 for a year.

So for what T-Mobile high cost plans profitable?
If you get on the right T-Mobile deal, you pay less that $26 per month for more lines. Some Redditers and SDers pay less than that for entire family plans. Before you ask, no deal is available currently. It's like once a year thing.

Yes, you could.

This is one of the reasons that companies are starting their ID verifications.

If you do this, the company loses a lot of money, and it could negatively impact the dealer who is just a local business pe
Well, if they do offer this, and it's legal to jump ship after a single month, then why should I care that they charge more than needed, lie about their coverage or ability to give service, and still receive govmnt subsidy for things they, choose, not to do and say "We are doing what we can. WE are not going to fix our problems, cuz the subsidies make it more profitable to rape the citizen so they can give share-holders a cut of our taxes? Fvck all that. If they try to refuse me using their offer, a lawsuit is order. I may get some of my money back for being treated like a cow, full of free milk. It's not free, I survived my deployment to Iraq. My tits are dry and my fields have produced ZERO fvcks to give about thier "hardship". Corps need a beating on the earnings so we can back to an affordable economy. this clip can give a reasonable view of why our economy does not exhibit trust, She PROVES the inflation of the U.S. is caused by corporate profiteering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WLuuCM6Ej0

What's the criteria for you the dealer to get your commission / get paid from Boost? In other words, when would this transaction be profitable for you? Some of us slickscummers aren't out to take every penny.
Very true but to be honest, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind taking every penny of yours if you didn't know any better. Js. Phone dealers aren't necessarily known for their benevolence.

To say it's profitable is probably overstating as of course there is monthly service. But I feel the monthly is as cheap as toy could hope for. Currently I pay $180 for 11 lines. So about $16 per line. I know some people have better deals with T-Mobile but I am happy all things considered. So if you concede that the service is as cheap as you can hope for. The equipment becomes profitable as toy can get an $800 phone for less than $200 and then sell it for $600 after a year then buy another phone for $200 and get a new $800 phone then sell for $600. So year after year you have newest phone and net approximately $300 per phone. And service is about $200 per line per year. If could do this this for all lines. I could have feee cell service and free equipment. Of course that is not realistic. But I have managed to have newest phones for the past 3 years with no cost

Is this only for carrier phones or does it work for unlocked phones? What do you suppose a 12 PM will be worth? I just got one for $420 on Cricket from Amazog.

nevermind, I saw the posts further down. I still do wonder if I could use att prepaid on an att locked phone. I've always had good service with them and they're currently offering $300 for a year of unlimited, which is a great deal.

I may as well mention I've had zero luck unlocking this 12 PM with rsim. I did it some years ago with an XR but they must have locked these things down!

Quote from dave8686 :
XR and XS might be in the $800 tier this fall. But I think it's safe to say the 11 will be for sure. I'm just trying to figure out when to but them. Carrier lock doesn't matter for trade in. So $800 trade in value for $100 is pretty slick to me. I was able to get my kids 14's for $69 tax plus $108 for an XR each. So 2 128 gig iPhone 14's for $354. Hoping to do the same with 15's this fall and can sell the 14's for $600 each. These trade ins don't make sense really. I in the process of selling a 12 that I got for tax plus an 8 two years ago. If you play your cards right. The phones are free and you start making money. Of course there is service. But that's a give. I have 11 lines and pay $180/month. I know others do better. But I'm happy especially with the equipment trade ins.

Checked my local Boost store. Cost is $188 OTD so not a bargain especially compared to Metro.

Thanks for your insights soyelmocano..

Just spitballing here, but your other option is to help slickdealers commit fraud ? Then burn down the store for insurance money LMAO

SlickScum --> SlickFam --> Slick-Mafia.

Kingpin -soyelmocano nod

Excuse me for not understanding why you give a h00t about the true corpo-scum, boostmobile who's exploiting you and exploiting your customers THROUGH you.
