Never heard of this brand, but they are owned by Global Connections Inc of America. According to their broadband transparency report:
The maximum download speeds achievable on the network of our Underlying Carrier are
typically between 43 – 143 Mbps and the maximum upload speed is typically between 10 – 34
Mbps. StandUp Wireless provides its Broadband Services at speeds of at least 128 kbps
symmetrical, where the network will support such performance. The maximum speeds are
optimal for real-time or near real-time, high-bandwidth uses. Lower speeds may affect your
ability to stream audio and video, access certain websites and content, or interact with
available applications.
Also looks like they are mostly a lifeline provider.
The question is, what's a good provider that is also cheap for long term (1 year+) that has a decent self-service portal/website and an actual working customer service?
I bought red pocket for 1 year off of ebay and they discontinued me within 6 months. I had to email those idiots to fix their mistake who ended up taking 5 days to respond.
Depends what you are looking for, but I've had ATT Prepaid for years and it's great. $300/year (less with gift cards) 16gb per month plus you carry any leftover data to the next month. Coverage out of the country when traveling (Canada/Mexico). https://www.att.com/prepaid/

I was very happy with Tello. Switched temporarily for a Google phone deal with free service. Need to switch back. need a new sim. Thought of mint Mobile, which has esim. Reviews are not amazing, however, seems all phone companies stink nowadays (or only negative is heard)
Between all the new customer promos you can get from food delivery apps, rideshare apps, and gaa promotions ($1 off per gallon at chevron for forst 3 fill ups), this deal is insane.

How does that work? I tried ordering with grubhub using a new phone number with the same credit card as my existing account and it told me to sign in with my existing account
Is there a thread here that shows deals you can take advantage of with a different/throw-away phone number?
E.g. I'd like to sign up for a 2nd account at my supermarket so I can get another signup bonus (and use "one-time-use" digital coupons twice), but sign up requires a text reply/verification from a valid, different phone number. Thanks

Mint Mobile customer since October 2021. Previously on Verizon for over a decade and haven't looked back. Now is a great time to join because tomorrow of all days they are upgrading all plans with more data free of charge (thanks to the recent acquisition by T-Mobile). Speeds are fantastic but I'm also rarely in super rural areas, so just check their coverage map for your particular location. Used to be that you were required to pay annually to keep the $15/4gb monthly price BUT now if you have multiple lines then just connect them under your account as a "family" and you can pay quarterly to keep the $15 plan. Love being able to tether to my laptop when necessary and if I ever go over my limit, I still have data, it's just slower. And of course unlimited talk & text. Have been curious about other providers just like anyone but every time I actually compare the stats with Mint's plans, I decide to stay.

The chevron deal is great if you find a station that will actually allow you to use it. Most in my area of NE Georgia dont
Can anyone suggest a SIM I can get for either free or very cheap that doesn't have an activation deadline where I can just put it in my drawer and use it when I need it? It could be inexpensive Pay as you go or a short plan. I'm looking for an emergency backup sim/service that I could use for at least a few days just in case I lose my phone. Looking for a service that uses T-Mobile.
This looks fake.. i could never get a free prepaid. For any email id, it says "one per household" but it hasnt taken even one of my registrations so far

T-Mobile offers $3/month for prepaid account, no need to use it at all, as long as your account has funds to cover that monthly charge.
