GT-AX6000 has a 2.5GHz WAN/LAN port plus one 2.5GHz Lan port and four 1GHz LAN ports. The RT-AX86U Pro has only the 2.5GHz WAN/LAN port and four 1GHz LAN ports. Otherwise, both specs are similar and both support merlin firmware.

Purchased mine for around $200 as a amazon warehouse item. Was in excellent condition but the router itself is embarrassingly gaudy looking. It has these big plastic antennas with a semi clear plastic red part on the top of the antenna. Now I am glad it does not have more RGB, but their design looks like they intended to put a light inside of it but then did not. The design choice otherwise does not make sense.

Thankfully it works fines screwed to the backside of a piece of furniture in my closet. The range is fine and it allows me to hide the router away but still get a good signal around my property. I purchased this for the 2.5ghz Ethernet connection to my ax86u. I am very pleased with the latency I am getting via the hardwired backbone as the ax6000 is managing the fiber connection fed into the closet. Speeds to things pretty far away on the 2.4/5ghz bands is great and better than I would have expected given where I have located the router.

Will it support 5.9GHz UNII-4 on the 5Ghz band like the GT-11000 Pro does?
Yes it does. Source: I have one

Though not very useful in most cases unless you are using it as a dedicated band for devices that support it.

Mine did not play well with Verizon Fios, had terrible upload speeds, firmware supposedly fixed it.

Nice deal. Was thinking of upgrading my single gigabit router since my internet speeds are supposed to be 1.2 gigabit but my old ASUS router is maxing out around 400 mbps even hardwired. Was looking at a $400 ASUS WiFi 6e router but might settle for this cause my phone is the only device i have that can even use 6e.

This is a nice deal. I noticed they are putting sales on their newer routers so they either have too much stock and/or new versions (wifi 7?) are coming out.

Which modem do you have? I was debating the Arris s33 or Mb8611 by Motorola . The CM2000 looks over priced. I am not sure why it's so pricey.

The s33 was a deal a month ago. I bought it and had problems with Xfinity provisioning they couldnt get it working. Not the modems fault. So I returned it and got the CM2000 - had a CM1000v1 Xfinity cut support and drop my speed to 56mb so I really cant comment on the s33. At that time -frustrated - I went with a trusted vendor. My CM1000 worked flawlessly for years

I have the S33. It's either my router or the service failing to deliver.

Gross so those red plastic things are just there for no reason?
