Looks like the 'hack' is fixed... unless im doing something wrong.
Cant ship the tool and leave the battery as pick-up.
Is it applicable to just do pickup for both and decide to return the bat?

If I recall you put the tool as pickup at a nearby store and the battery at a different store and just never pickup the battery.

I choose 2 different stores for pick up. Will pickup on the tool and wait for the battery to get cancelled. Will update once I see the $$ credited back to me.
Basically the same performance as the xdt16/19 without the extra assist modes.
You are right. Power/performance is identical. XDT14 has 3 speeds, a T mode (self tapping screw mode), wood driving mode, and the XDT16 has 4 speeds and 2 additional modes to what the 14 has.
The YT channel "Tools & Stuff" has a video comparing every Makita impact from a year ago. The only confusing aspect is if you are in the US, the model numbers are different than the rest of the world.
Anyone have experience with this versus the milwaukee fuel gen 4?
No experience - but, I would invest in whichever system you want to stay in. Makita and Milwaukee both make great tools and are personally my top two favorite brands.
