Supposedly, all these smart speakers will continue to work, it's just that going forward if a user has an issue they may not get the support they used to get from google. Either way these products do have 90-day warranties also if you want to contact them
The link view paired w/ a spotify account has been great for me as a bedside alarm clock. Large screen is great if your eyesight is starting to go, and the sound quality is fantastic, especially compared to little lenovo smart clocks, which were otherwise great, setting aside poor sound quality.
Anyone looking for speakers let me drop this here. I watched tons of reviews on crookedTube before making my last purchase. All the top channels for portable speakers for each one. An just like all the top tech channels (Linus etc). These people were lying to me. (or like the obviously paid rave reviews on comments here about how great motorola phones are) So I went with some bugani brand cause they say it's one of the lowest cost, loudest high quality there is. An nope. They was just lying on those channels ;. On par with what I see everyone offline in their country doing selling drugs cut with rat poison to add weight to make some extra cash.
You gotta stick with these jbl/Harmon type brands it seems. Don't trust these people on youtube with lots of money an fame. I did come across some earbuds with hooks that are amazing an super low cost but I didn't watch screwTube videos on that an it was random purchases looking for water resistant stuff. (an a Amazon review said they swam with them an i killed everyone I dropped in the pool; but quality was good)
Just putting this one out there for anyone looking around

If you are planning to buy these and sync multiple speakers, careful with that. I tried many a times but still couldn't get them to work in a synchronous mode
Dang, that sucks. But it says "select" 3rd party. So maybe they'll select a few?
Important: Google no longer provides software updates for these third-party Smart Displays: Lenovo Smart Display (7-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch), JBL Link View, and LG Xboom AI ThinQ WK9 Smart Display," reads the announcement. "This could impact the quality of video calls and meetings."
How do these work? For example if you get 2+ of these can they all wirelessly connect to play the same music? If you get 5 and put 2 in one room and 3 in the other then can they play different music in the different rooms?
Link Music and Link View can both be added to google speaker groups. Link View sounds really good. Link View has had web searching disabled by google when they turned off some of the functions for these 3rd party devices last year. Most music functions seem to work and it does function properly in a multiroom google speaker group with a chromecast audio, nest speaker and a couple link musics.

Add Polk to that list. I used to love having whole-house music with a combo of Google speakers and this great Polk one in my Living Room. Now it can only be used by itself. And if anyone accidentally tries to make it work with the others, it's screwed up the entire chromecast until router reset.
If JBL commits to updating, then I'm in, but if they don't, and you want whole-house music, don't do it.

Their documentation states you can setup AirPlay on this.

However, I could never get it to work properly. I'd lose WiFi connection after playing some Apple Music.
