There's been a lot of incidents and deaths related to this collar. I love my dog too much, maybe.

I've been using Seresto collars for at least 7 years on both my dogs and have had no issues. Hands down the best for ticks for those whose dogs spend a lot of time in the woods.

Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica etc can cause seizures. Frontline plus has been the subject of 5000 human health incident reports. Use what works best for your dog/cat. Monitor your pets after applications.

My vet still recommends Seresto collars and that's what they use with their pets. The reports are alarming but majority will look at it emotionally rather than objectively.

What's the actual percentage? 2500 is still 2500 too many pet deaths. But how many MILLIONS of collars are sold annually? How many of these pet collars were bought online from Amazon, eBay, etc. which were likely counterfeit? Causation vs correlation - how many pet autopsies were done and findings?

I have pets that I want to live as long as they possibly can. I live in a tick ridden wooded area in the SE and I fear the diseases they could get outside outweigh any presumptive risks from Seresto at this point with the presented literature. As someone else said, monitor your pets with any application. Collars, drops, whatever.

The Seresto collars are about $7-$9 lower than the previous Chewy Frontpage Deal

Can I put these on my kids? I live in Connecticut and am sick of doing tick checks when they come in from playing in the yard.

You can, but for some reason the directions say it's not advisable.

Highly recommend Permethrin on shoes:

Can pickup concentrate at tractor supply co if you have one nearby(be sure to dilute appropriately).
Might also want to look into making some 'tick tubes' to help cutback how many are lurking around the yard

Don't use a flea/tick collar in conjunction with a topical or oral preventative. I know because I am a Vet on the internet.

Are you also selecting Autoship delivery? That will discount the total by another 35%

Frontline does absolutely zero for the fleas in my area. The only thing that works is Seresto unfortunately. I've tried everything. I really hate how judgmental random people I run into on the street are about it. It would have been much easier if you just mind your own business.
