Today the HP EX900 Plus 1TB is $90 online. Considering that in much of my testing the performance of this drive was relatively competitive with more expensive drives like the SK hynix Gold P31, the Inland Premium, and the Samsung 980, I consider the $90 price point very good for this drive. With that said, those drives did generally outperform the EX900 Plus and come with much better endurance ratings, though the HP EX900 Plus has a warranty duration advantage over the Inland drive.
The HP EX900 Plus 1TB is a decent drive at a good price point. I still wonder whether this drive is TLC or QLC, but in the end, it may not matter. As long as you do not need a high-rated endurance or high-performance sustained writes, the EX900 Plus is an inexpensive drive that generally performs well.

From the Review HP EX-900 Review [servethehome.com]

Also included only in the quick start guide are the endurance specs. At only 400 TBW for the 1TB drive is definitely on the low end. While 400 TBW is a lower number than most of the drives I review, for a standard consumer use case scenario it should still be reasonable. With that said, the relatively low endurance is another point that has me wondering whether this drive is actually equipped with QLC NAND.

Looking for a 2TB or 4TB which will primarily be used in an external RTL9210B USB enclosure but could be added to the motherboard at some point. For that reason speeds are probably not as important as reliability and warranty process for when it fails.
Primary uses are temporary storage for heavy reads and writes when working on jobs and day to day external drive for Xbox.
Also available through NewEgg (also a third party) here.

AFAIK, HP SD cards and USB flash drives are still made by PNY.
