Meh. The G30LP has been $500 several times and it's not as good as the G30P. Also Segway is launching the next gen Max G2 in a few days so the older models will probably continue to drop in price.

Good tip, probably will wait for the new one to come out and buy the older models to save money. However, people have said that the original max is better than the newer version and the original is often more pricier than the new?

The G30P is the original Max and it is better than the G30LP (and about $100 more expensive). The new Max G2 is better than both and is launching on Indiegogo at $799 but will be more expensive at retail.

I've had this for two years. For some reason recently it's been maxing out at around 15mph when it used to get up to 20mph so need to check tire pressure to see if that has anything to do with it. Will also add that my first one just completely bricked itself somehow. After getting home it would not turn on no matter what I tried with just ~3 hours of ride time. Segway support shipped a replacement one though but it was annoying having to ship mine back to them. Overall though this is probably the best scooter you can get under $500.

G2 Max only goes 15mph? That's slower than my G30LP. Might as well go for the P100S. But the range on the G2 looks good.

I wouldn't say lowest price ever on Amazon as this did go on sale for like $70..although maybe a price mistake. I personally love mine, it's not the fastest but it gets the job done.
