I have four of these mounted into studs in the garage. Works well enough except the double-sided tape on plastic tray doesn't stick well. You pretty much need to drill holes in the tray and screw them in.

Yep, the trays inevitably fall down. There's even little dimples in the tray as though they expect you to drill them to install properly.

I bought similar ones and have not installed them. Thought about it but I have no space on the wall to put them for convenience. If I put them on my side wall, they will hit the car. So back wall is all there is left but that's even a squeeze too.

Agreed. I have a two car garage with two parked cars so there's not really much room to put my bike vertically with them sticking out from the walls. I installed two hooks and now hang my bike on the wall flat against it.
