From the terms :
"Direct Deposit is recurring income electronically deposited into your Citizens checking account and may include salary, pension, and other regular income."
A simple ACH transfer from another account most likely will not qualify.
Anyone have success signing up for these deals when it's not available in your state? I have a feeling that it wouldn't pass verifications if I tried to use a friend / family members address in a qualifying state. Anyone have experience with this?
" Qualifications: Primary signer on the new checking account may not be or have been a signer on any Citizens personal checking account within the previous six months."
I can't tell… does this mean any current account will disqualify you, or only those opened in the last 6 months?
Trash bank. You will wait forever for your bonus. Be patient.
I got paid in time with Citizens. Easy bank. I opened up accounts with all major banks for bonuses, some of them were night mares compare to Citizens, such as Citi, BoA, wells fargo, HSBC, suntrust, 53 bank. The best ones: chase, capital one, Citizens, td bank, pnc, bmo.

I recently closed account with Citi after receiving bank bonus. Right now I'm doing it every 6 months. I have received a total 2400 bucks. Never had an issue until this time the goof ball just locked my account and did not close it. Had to call back after a couple of months and its closed now. Will revisit around September. 🤑 I like free 💰. UPDATE.. No go for me. Not in my area.
