Yes. You add 1.17GB/1200min/1200text and 1 year of service after transfer. Too bad the add-a-line bonus is only 500 points now.

Added link to wiki for the Tracfone mini guide. Most questions being asked in here are answered there. https://old.reddit.com/r/TracFone...de_how_to/

Will my points harvested during last year's add-a-line promo expire? The one years service I have will end on 9/25 so I don't think I can hold until Christmas as the points will expire when I don't have an active service.
I think the points expire 60 or 90 days after no active line in the account. You can use the points to extend the service (2K for a 90-day basic PAYG plan). If you have 20K, redeem it for a $300 off phone discount code!

If I were to buy this now and first use in July, would the service be valid until next July?

Yeah, I'm looking to redeem the $300 off phone discount code. My active lines expire on 9/25, which means the points should expire around 11/25. Let's say TracFone has a increased add-a-line promo on 9/25 or later and I added this new line, I still won't be able to combine my new and existing points because the new points will only vest after 60 days, which is the same day my existing points will expire. Hopefully, they'll run another add-a-line promo earlier than 9/25. 🤞🏻

Too bad add a line is only 500 points rewards. Would jump on this if it was 10K points like last time. I did 2 last time, banked 20K points and then transferred the remaining 10 months for each line over to my existing line.
Yes, the point values went to s**t when Verizon took over. I have 2 phones that I haven't activated yet, hoping for the add a line goes up in value, but it might be in vain.

Does anyone know if this phone has GPS/can download a GPS app to track someone (similar to find my friend on iPhone). Looking to purchase for an emergency phone for my child's backpack. Thanks!

These are great for older folks that have issues using smart phones. Also good for harvesting of mins. too!

Yes. The 1-year service starts when you activate the phone/sim.

It's not recommended to do sim swap especially with TF-branded phones and TF/Verizon SIMs. TF may disable the service.
Yeah I did that once and the phone stopped working after a few months but the balance was still good on the account. Went to Bestbuy and got a BYOD TF sim and transferred the service the BYOD sim and it worked again

Noob question: Can I use this as a backup phone, like if I put it away somewhere and use as emergency?
