S30V with Buck heat treat. Made in USA. IMO, this is a steal at this price.

Yeah I noticed the steel right away, and I know that the heat treatment of buck is some of the best out there. I may bite.

Update: not a ton of reviews as this is a discontinued product, the reviews were very favorable. The grips are wood, and many say that it's basically a modern version of the 110 model with modern upgrades

I owned 547RWS-B come with leather sheath BU547. It is high quality knife back by Buck forever warranty. Not like new model used cheap 420HC or China steel. This knife is good for hunting but a little bit bulky for everyday carry.

CPM S30V is considered a premium grade knife steel. Buck Knives calls it "the absolute best blade steel available"

Buck 110 in their S30V tested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGzRRamF0h8

This is the closest knife I can find by a legit tester with high quality benchmarking.

It's a good value, but a bit too large/heavy for EDC. I suppose it depends on your needs (and laws) but this is more of a use-case item vs general twine/box opener.

That said, I cycle my carry choices and have more options on the bulkier side. If you already have a slimmer profile option (like a ken onion leek for example), then this could be a good alternate

Damn you slick deals. I was doing good with knife anonymous and had been buying knife free for 18 months. Now I got to start back at zero

I think it's intended more as a hunting folder, but if you wanted to carry it for EDC it would work. Just keep in mind it will be a bit heavier (6 oz) than a lot of your typical EDC options (2-4 oz)

At 4.75 inches closed, that's a lot of weight. Given the location of that clip and how the end tab protrudes upward, unless the knife is a perfect fit for your hand, it could dig into your finger/palm over prolonged use sessions.
