Same bike here on Amazon for $899. May be a better source to research. Looks like retail is $999

Bezior Explore XF900 Electric Bike for Adults, 26" x 4.0 Fat Tire Electric Bicycle, 48V 12.5AH Removable Massive Lithium Battery, 750W Brushless Motor,28MPH Mountain E-Bike Shimano 7-Speed Gear Ebike https://a.co/d/1wcfLmk
Right? Throwing $800+ at some chinesium e-bike seems like a poor choice. Good luck getting any product/warranty support, and good luck finding parts when things do start failing.

What's the difference from this one? Specs seem similar except this one has smaller battery and LCD screen vs color

Biggest difference is this has full suspension built into the body and possibly better build quality on the parts. Battery is slightly weaker but the bike is probably much better. There are some reviews online unlike the cmacewheel. I would prefer full suspension for sure

Wow, the Chinese must think that throwing together some random words makes a marketing slogan. "That sounds tech, let's go with that!"

Also, the description says 750w motor but the pic says 500w.

99% of ebikes are made in China, even the ones from American companies like RadPower, Aventon, they just order by bulk and tweak the designs, add some very cosmetic warranties and sell at a profit.

Unfortunately seems a lot of people do not know about supply chain and manufacturing. You really do get what you pay for... unless you're rich/famous then you get mostly everything for free.

These ebikes should have fairly "standard" ebike components, so with a little online searching, one could upgrade everything separately. I took a chance w a different brand ebike last year deal, and havent had any issues so far, but am prepared to take it to a bike shop for regular bike component work (wheels, chains, frame, etc) and myself for electrical component replacement (controller, battery, maybe even the hub motor is swappable to another wheel). These are mainly commoditized components, unlike some designer ebikes with custom frame battery mounts. It makes servicing them a lot easier. I personally recommend skinnier tires to reduce weight, which helps in handling and transporting ebikes, when things are heavy, everything else has to work harder and wear out sooner, motor, brakes, bike carriers... etc. Most people ride on pavement anyway, even 2.0" width tires can handle a bit of offroading occasionally, anything wider is just a drag all the time.

The learning curve on replacing components or modifying a Chinese electric bike is about a week and a half. after a month? You're scouring Craigslist looking for broken motorcycles or mopeds to electrify. Speaking for myself of course.

Better quality control. That's why the cheap e-bike batteries catch fire 🔥 all the time and you very rarely hear about brand name ones burning up. 99% of the time it's Alibaba batteries sold cheap. All these batteries are just a bunch of small batteries like in a tv remote control soldered all together and covered with a plastic case. The people making these cheap ones are probably making them in their basement with the cheapest batteries they can get and their only experience is watching a YouTube video on how to connect all the batteries together. That's the difference.
