Cigar and cigarette smoke are nearly impossible to get out. I wonder how good this product really is 🤔. Isn't the smoke absorbed into the carpet, padding, studs, etc.? Or is this a spray that you use right after smoking?

The description says it's "...not for use on... " the type of stuff that you just described (except studs).

I actually can't think of anything that isn't on that list which I would want to remove smoke odors form.

Maybe its for hotel employees to spray down the unpainted walls and ceilings of a room that was smoked in. And , maybe the soft items are cleaned with a different product, like special carpet cleaner, special laundry detergent, etc.
