I got this[costco.com] for $32.99 at Costco (in-store). Fits well and has a light on the back of the helmet (steady or blinking). Not sure how to replace the battery when that runs out but I haven't read the instructions yet or used it for my daily commute yet.

Reviews are pretty terrible on the Nino. We tried it in store for my 8 year old, and he found it really uncomfortable with the way it was designed on the inside. There was a spot that rubbed his head strangely and he just generally didn't like the feel (YMMV). Do note that there is no turn wheel adjustment on the back which is a common feature on most bike helmets these days. That makes it near impossible to get a proper fit and he was sorta between sizes.
I think there is a reason they are clearing these out.
$32.99 at Costco (in-store) is a everyday price or sale price?

We have one of these, as well as a few Smith helmets, a bern and a nutcase. The Costco helmet is harder to get a good fit and the strap adjustments don't seem to stay where we put them. I'm always having to adjust that one helmet. The best helmet is the one that fits and that the rider will wear. REI return policy makes it easy to try a few and return what doesn't work for you.

Fair enough. Everyone has different shaped heads. It fits well for me and the straps are staying put. I especially like the magnetic clip and little cushion to make sure you don't clip your chin I guess I finally found one that fits my head well!

Can't speak to the other models.
