Unless u are watching the same exact content on a constant basis and are living 10 years ago, the risk of burn in is very low. Almost none. Burn in with newer technology, especially with LG, is very low based on tests by rtings. And even then, you'd have to be watching the same thing on a very long period basis. And that is typically content with static bright logos. Primarily news sources. Why buy an oled to watch news? This is a mid range oled designed for various multi-media that looks stunning. You won't get oled if u mix up movies shows news and video games. Stop over exaggerating burn in. Damn.

I'm finishing my basement and aiming to pick up the 77inch b series in the next few months. I'm really hoping before LG clears these out for the newer model that they get it down to 1700.

This is a nice tv. I'm holding out hope for the c2. I almost bought the a2 for 1500 from Costco. With amazon reducing this as well I feel like if can come down more.

If you need a 77" OLED TV now, should you go for this B2 or the A2 for $1.5k?

Do you care about 120Hz at all? If so the A1 isn't an option. A1 screen is also less bright, but that may or may not matter depending on location and content.

I somewhat care about 120Hz because of potential judder on the A2.

If you only care about it for 24p playback then it'll depend on your sources.

The internal streaming apps can do 24p native so no judder concerns... SOME external streaming devices (Roku and AppleTV off hand, though probably at least some others) can also be set to natively feed 24p to the display so no judder concerns (typically the TV will do this by switching to a 48Hz refresh, allowing a clean multiple of 24)

The issue will be if you have an external source that does NOT have a way to natively output 24p content, and instead sends everything to the TV at 60 (cable/sat boxes, some less capable streaming sources, etc)... in that case you'd have judder concerns the TV can't automagically fix on a 60Hz display (but could on a 120Hz one (this is the feature rtings.com lists as "Judder-Free 24p via 60p" which is a no for the A2 but a yes for the B2/C2/etc 120Hz sets).

To me the 1500 is a better deal but I think this price will come down to 17-1800. The new generation is just rolling out and I'm sure these retailers want to get rid of their old models. Lg probably limits them on how low they can go for now

Good tv. Using exact same one I got from Costco same price longer warranty a few months ago. I would recommend if you can stack some promo or gift cards
