1. Newegg shows "discount" of $40 and makes it $279.99 which is the price on Amazon [amazon.com] (different manufacturer, but no difference to me), so there is no discount.
2. Mail in rebate of $20 is something you may never get, but in case of Amazon you get $13.99 as cashback if you use their credit card (and I have one).
3. In case of Newegg the card is non-returnable, but in case of Amazon 30 days return period no question asked.
4. You get "The Last of Us Part 1" for free in both cases.

At this point I am not sure who is going to hunt for the phantom benefit of $6 and no returns.

Only in clown world would the price of aging tech increase the price. At this point this card needs to be $200 otherwise they can rust in the warehouse.

Moore's Law is dead, so the economics of Silicon fabs is changing. Like Air Travel, where you aren't going cross country anytime faster than you did 50 years ago and adjusted for inflation prices are only 10-20% less.

Also, Bitcoin is recovering in fits and spurts. So, probably some altcoins are profitable again.
