Sign ups are live. In the wallet app, select your Apple Card, go to the top right menu and hit Apple Cash, and change redemption to savings. Enter your social and you're done.

The account is backed by Goldman Sachs - a bank.

There are better APR why use this
This is for people who have and use an Apple Card.

You get Apple Cash deposited into your Apple Cash account every day, after purchases.

And now that Apple Cash will earn interest in the savings account, so it's a win/win situation.

If you don't have an Apple Card and you already get better interest elsewhere and you don't care about nice looking GUIs and ease of use, then just stick with what you have I guess.

That is not accurate. You will get a hard pull if you accept the card.

When you apply for an Apple Card, if they accept you, they will make an offer, showing you what credit limit they will give you.

You can then either choose to accept or decline.

If you decline, then it'll only be a soft pull on your credit.
If you accept, you will get a hard pull, just like with any other card.

Already have an Apple Card. Should I move $100k savings from Marcus to this? It kinda scares to to have that much money accessible to my Apple Wallet

Interest is paid monthly it looks like (LINK [apple.com]):
Interest that you earn is compounded daily and credited to your Savings account monthly.

Isn't there a $75 new user sign up bonus for Apple Card now? Seems like the timing of the savings release and the referral was perfect for those that qualify.

Having an Apple Card is a requirement, so yes, I guess somebody would be out of luck in that case.

It appears sign up is not yet available for everyone. Maybe it's getting rolled out based on location. Not seeing sign up steps and screens mentioned here - https://www.cnbc.com/2023/04/17/h...phone.html

Any reason to believe this 4.15 rate won't continue to increase as the industry does? I currently have Ally for my HYSA but they're only at 3.75 now. But would hate to move the money to Apple then Ally goes to 4.25 or something.

Absence of the ATM access is a dear breaker for me unfortunately.

"Apple Card welcome offer
One of the most disappointing things about the card is the lack of a sign-up bonus. Very few rewards cards offer no sign-up bonus."
