Sign ups are live. In the wallet app, select your Apple Card, go to the top right menu and hit Apple Cash, and change redemption to savings. Enter your social and you're done.

I can bet this is a click bait and they will luckily to adjust sooner or later. Not in need for another tax form as of now as I am getting >5%, but it's great if you use your apple card a lot of currently don't have any high yield savings acc.

Interest rate does not depend on amount of invested. Obviously one gets more interest income if account balance amount is higher. Many have their 401k in Fidelity, if want to park cash, it is easy as all non invested can just sit on money market.

All rates will come down eventually.

It wasn't that long ago that rates, even for most high yield savings were less than 1 percent.

When the FED begins to turn around, and they begin decreasing rates, then all banks will follow and yes, this rate will begin to decrease along with all of the other banks.

"We may change the interest rate and APY at any time and will give you notice of any decrease in either term as required by law." I like that they are being transparent about this, so if you are worried about the rate going down you will be notified when it does happen.

Actually, those rules were changed back in 2020.

They are no longer in effect.

Some banks still have such rules in place which limits transactions per month, but it's not because of any FED rules.

According to a post I read on Reddit yesterday, where somebody got a reply from GS support, there doesn't seem to be any limitations on this Apple savings account. I guess we'll know for sure shortly when people start using it a lot.

Any reason to use this over PayPal savings? They just upped to the same rate
Also Robinhood gold cash sweep is higher (easily worth the monthly fee) & higher insurance
