Compete e-waste to buy a computer attached to the monitor. It's cheaper to just get a Mini ($500) and use any monitor. Then you're not throwing away an entire display. Apple still won't give you a charger with your phone, but has no problem dumping these computers.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

The first two are the most important and a 2-in-1 does not allow reuse. Most people will dump it in a landfill. Apple is not recycling these units in any meaningful capacity. They are shipped to China and gutted by child laborers, parts resold on the street.

You really should do your research.

Wrong. Macs have useful lifespans of 7-10 years without upgrades, far longer than any other computer brand. The 'per unit' waste created by Macs is far less than any other. Please do your research before making rude comments. Starting out at level 10 makes you look like a hysterical teenager, especially when you are wrong. Now, you have nowhere to go, unless you are a memeber of Spinal Tap and your volume knob goes to 11!

Link? Proof? Confused Apple's recycling program is certified by several independent agencies. Why would anybody take the word of a troll over theirs?

Dippy the wonder dog doesn't understand unified memory or SOC. It's been running 2 years already just fine, and faster and more responsive than most competitors with more cores and more RAM.

Apple [apple.com] and Best Buy [bestbuy.com] have this for $1500. The 8-Core CPU / 8-Core GPU version also includes:
  • 2 USB 3 Ports
  • Gigabit Ethernet

Research what? Can you cite how many iMac 2-in-1s were recycled as a percentage of total sold in any year? Apple ships any units recoverd directly to China to get gutted by resellers who employ children. Parts are sold on the street in Shenzhen.

Can you cite where your information is coming from?
