Is there an advantage to buying the 256gb for $30 over the 128gb?

I'm new to dashcams but doesn't the card get overwritten anyways when it's full? So you technically never really run out of space I mean?

True, you won't run out of space, but you will start overwriting sooner with a smaller capacity card. With a larger capacity card, it'll start overwriting later, so you can keep more history (ie keep more older videos) on the card before being overwritten. This could be helpful in case you don't realize you needed some footage until some time later. You can decide for your use case how important that is to you. Plus, people who drive a lot will also save more footage to the card, so they will probably want a larger capacity card.

For a dashcam, unless you drive 40k+ miles a year, a 128gb should be plenty and should this one should last for years before failure.

If you drive a lot and want the camera on all the time when not driving, then you may want a 256gb card.

Larger capacity = fewer rewrites. Fewer rewrites = less wear.

Makes sense! I got the viofo a119 V3 over the weekend and threw in a standard 64gb SanDisk card. Looks like it can hold up to 8 hours.

So I've been looking out for endurance specific cards to handles the more constant rewrites 👍

Getting 2 of these cards from Amazon is a good candidate for the $10 off Amazon locker pickup deal. Your total will be $21.98 +tax for 2 cards.
Is this targeted or is there a code?

"read/write speeds up to 100/40MB/". If that fits your needs then this is a good card. This isn't the fastest card there is, but it's good for continuous recording. Unless you're flying your drone all day every day you could probably get away with a lower endurance but faster card like this: https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-mi...B09B1JFY24

So is this Samsung is better than the SanDisk High Endurance 128GB that's available at Amazon and other places for $15? Specs seem similar at 100MB/s read 40MB/s write.

I still have one from the last sale NIB. Waiting to get the right dashcam. Viofo A229 Duo is my top candidate right now.

would you guys recommend this for phones? for some reason, when I use micro sd cards in phones, they get corrupt randomly. I have lost pictures and videos in the past due to this issue. If this is not good for a phone, what would someone with experience recommed? thanks!

make sure the phone isn't corrupting them..
I've used some sandisk sd card in my old blackberry q10 for years and never had any corruption.
this card should be very reliable
