I've been waiting for this to go on clearance forever now. But it was already on sale for $39.99 during the holidays. So I'll wait for it to drop again 🤞

The .97 suffix means it's not coming back (maybe). So get it now if you're remotely interested.

In NorCal my local Costco cleared them out for 30.97 in early March. Was pretty much out by the time I got there. Didn't even know it was still available at other Costcos.

I saw these at my local Costco the other day. Can't remember what the sign showed as the price. Might check to see later this week if it was a clearance item.

They did randomly have one box of Formula E Porsche Technic with a little damage to the box. Looks like someone returned it, but it wasn't discounted as much as I thought it would fit being just the one box. I think that one was ~$39.

Yeah I saw these a couple of weeks ago at regular price of $50 and passed. Maybe now if they're still around.

Yeah this set has been around for probably half a year now? It's definitely not coming back once it sells out.

This is a fantastic creator box. Lots of newer more unusual parts, and the color pallete is pretty different from usual Lego fare.

Man..started new hobby with kid and went with transformers instead of legos..although legos would be more time consuming...decided to bring back memories with the transformers.

Ended up at Costco yesterday for something else and checked to see if these were still there and what price. They did still have a bunch on the end cap priced at $39.97 but still debating if I should wait until they drop it a bit more since they have so many.

Says it's for 5+ so my kid still has a few years before they'd probably use it. Is this something that Costco has every year and ends up discounting them after the holiday season? I just have so many Lego sets saved for when the kid gets older and don't know if this is worth taking up storage space for a few years at this price...it is a ton of pieces though.

It is a tough call whether or not to wait since these could disappear at any time. Both my Costcos had end caps full but one of them ended up selling out after a week.

As for buying to keep for later - this set price per brick ratio is very good BUT it takes up a lot of space.

Thanks for the reply...will probably be cleaning up the garage a bit this weekend so might pick it up and see if I can find some storage space for it. I can always get a price adjustment if it drops in price within 30 days or return and rebuy if after that.
