2TB Silicon Power XS70 7300MB/s Gen 4 drive with heatsink for $12 more. Unless stuck on Gen3 i would pay extra for a lot faster drive.

For laptops this is the best drive for power efficiency, but yeah gen4 prices these days are great too for desktops.

What is your primary use? For most applications the gain is negligible honestly. I have this drive. I decided to get it for the reduced heat & the lessened battery use on my laptop. Future applications might utilize Gen 4 better, but right now there's not much other than additional heat & less battery. prices are said to keep dropping through june. GREAT price if you need a great laptop drive.

i can't believe we're seeing these prices. just a few years ago this was the going rate for a 512gb ssd. 2tb is more than most people will ever need.
