Do not buy this, does not work with Windows 11. I have wasted hours tying to get it to work. Google search the model number and you will find search results from 2021 with the exact same problem.

To say it does not work with Windows 11 is a little extreme, I have it working just fine. Go to the Kensington website and download drivers, then MANUALLY update those drivers in "Device Manager". If you read the reviews on Amazon you will see other users have had success doing this in 2023 and not from some review back in 2021.

Can confirm this works on windows 11.... you may need to boot into safemode and follow the manual install instructions the mfg provides though. I just did this last night and the reader works well for login and programs that can use windows hello protocol.

Had to manually install drivers in safe mode on my Lenovo legion laptop with Windows 11.
Fingerprint reader works great now.

It works. Manually download the drivers from the website. Start in safe mode and install the drivers via Device Manager. I have no issues with the newest version of 11.

Despite the overwhelming number of recent reviews on Amazon saying it doesn't work, after reading this comment, i finally managed to get it to work after many frustrating failed attempts. Starting in Safe Mode is 100% essential on Windows 11. I had no problems at all though with Windows 10.

I'm running Windows 11. I got device installed in safe mode and it shows ready in device manager, but Windows Hello says something went wrong. Try again later. Anything else I should try?
