Pretty good rate for savings account on Paypal. Has all the usual features like no minimums, no fees, etc.
Only downside compared to other banks is, there doesn't seem to be any sign up bonus if you already have a paypal account.

never in my life would I trust PayPal with my money, they freeze my money for no reason every time someone pays me. Thats not their savings program but def don't trust them.
I agree. I haven't had too many bad experiences with PayPal, but the ones I have had lead me to believe they're entirely incompetent. A few months ago I ordered vitamins/supplements from a company and one of the products (flax seed oil) was rancid. The company was giving me a hard time about a refund/replacement and I ended up filing a PayPal dispute. PayPal sent me a request proving that the oil was rancid. I replied with a photo of the oil and a statement that it would be impossible for me to "prove" it was rancid via photo. They closed the dispute in the merchant's favor less than 48 hours later. When I called them, they said the dispute was closed because the product wasn't significantly different than what I paid for. When I replied that it was rancid, the rep in the dispute department said: "I don't know what that means." I got his supervisor and he also did not know what the word meant. He said they didn't know what the word meant so they just processed the dispute without any consideration of "rancid." That was the entire basis of the dispute! I can't even fathom giving them jurisdiction over a $50,000 transfer ,,,

But anyway, I only use Paypal for Ebay purchases, but pay it off within the next month.

They hold $1,000 of your money hostage to recieve that rate.

I already had money at paypal so I just moved most of it into the savings.
Funny thing is I got a paypal alert the next day saying my apy just increased to 4.15%. It was 4.15% when I opened it , so how is that an increase. My alzeimer isn't THAT bad yet , lol .

redneck.bank is still the highest ive found
Would have been nice but they require you to make 10 debit card purchases each month to get the 4.80% apy. If you don't its only .25%.

PayPal freezes your money! Why would somebody chose to keep money with PayPal when Apple offers same rate?

I find it interesting. 100 people in this thread all with different life backgrounds and experiences yet all have the same opinion of PayPal.
