Great strategy to keep reducing the price. All the rich people who don't care about the rebate probably already bought the vehicle. Now, sell it to poor people who care about rebate and total price.

Why 2 different prices for the Standard Range?

Tesla Model Y (Standard Range) $46,990
Tesla Model Y (Long Range) $49,990
Tesla Model Y (Standard Range) $53,990

Not sure where that chart is from? The $53,990 is the Performance model, not the standard range.

Yep, especially plug in hybrids. Use electric range when you can, but you always have ICE back up.
A hybrid is like a futon. Not a very good couch, not a very good bed.

Don't buy this junk. No one can legitimately argue this is a good quality car with practical value. Tons of quality competition in this space with more luxury, better price, reliability, and you're not going to be kicking yourself when the price drops another few thousand.
Ill be honest I cant stand Musk and I hate how I see Teslas everywhere. I have several older cars I like as a enthusiast, and I find myself always having to fix stuff on them outside of work. Ive been seriously considering one latley due to having something I dont have to worry about fixing and the charging network. Ive never personally been in one and it feels very NPC to get one as a daily. Maintaining several old cars constantly gets old. My daily amg gets 11mpg and the gas savings alone on a base model 3 might be worth leasing one.

Interesting to note I priced the base 3 lease before price drop. Lease was 360 month with 4500 down, now its $412 with everything the same. I guess thats where they make up the "reduction".

Because you're rich and earning over $300k household
The 7500 credit is non refundable, meaning if you need to owe 7500 or more after doing your taxes next year to qualify. if TurboTax says you have a refund, then you don't qualify. Most people don't know this.

Lot of competition coming out this year in the EV space.
Every year its the same story - competition is coming. But, if you look closely it is never there or doesn't compete either on price or range or features. "Luxury" or Quality is where they have upper hand, but 8 out of 10 people are ready to go with Tesla - minimalistic interior with all features you actually want.

Lol.

200k affords a very nice lifestyle in a majority of the country. 300k, and a person could afford two of these.
Even you know "in majority of the country ", lol.
Then tell me why the people living not "in majority of the country" cannot have a higher income cap.

Do you have to owe $7500 at the tax filing time next year to get the full credit if u purchase model Y now? Or if u paid 7500 in federal taxes through this year, you can get full credit when u file ur taxes next year? Thanks
The 7500 is non refundable, meaning you must owe 7500 or more in taxes after you file. Alot of ppl gonna find out the hard way

Nope. Wrong.
You need to pay at least 7500 in taxes. If you have overpaid , you get a check.

Most people don't know it because it's not actually true.

The amount of your refund is totally irrelevant

This has been previously explained, in detail, a dozen or more times already and people keep getting it wrong.

Is line 24 on your 1040 at least $7500? If yes, you get the full $7500 credit. If it's less, you get whatever that # is.

Your withholdings don't matter.

Your normal refund amount does not matter.

Whatever you wrote on your W4 does not matter.

Line 24 matters.

AFAIK they come with a Samsung 128GB BAR USB drive in the glovebox already.

If you want something a little bigger to also store some music you can get a 256GB version of the same thing on amazon for $29.

If you want to store a MASSIVE amount of music then you're probably looking at getting like a 1TB USB SDD or something. The Samsung T7 is popular for this (80 bucks on amazon ATM)

yes, its the new toyota camry. Model 3/Y isn't a 'luxury' vehicle, its more of a commuter vehicle but filled with tech. I don't see Teslas as a car company, I see it more as a software company trying to be an automaker.
That company "trying to be an automaker" is going to have the best selling car in the world this year.
