Battery price is falling. New factories are scaling up. It will be 42990 by the end of year and might hit 36990 next year if the tax credit is gone. I would wait next year for a better hardware lower price.
Don't dismiss the competitions either, they are coming! And consumers/slickdeals will rejoice!

My recommendation is not to buy 2023 Model 3 or Y until Tesla adds Hardware 4 with extra front cameras to replace USS. Tesla Vision on these makes is very bad. It will drive you insane. A software update won't fix it. Needs more front cameras or radar or USS.

I may be old school, but if you need sensors or radar to know how to park, that's a terrible thing. LMAO

Guys beware.. stop buying this piece of shit car. I spent $70k in December which includes enhance autopilot and after driving it for several months I feel the trim inside is worth of $30k car. The autopilot and the initial 0-60 is the only things that I like and for long trips you have to wait and go every 2 hours.. also please wait until next year to get this shitty car to drop to $25k-$30k for model Y and $15k for the model 3.. so many cars in the inventory that people don't want to touch these who previously drove bmws/ Mercedes, so if you want to feel different and show off, go buy a bmw/ merc etc… stay away from this cheap ass Tesla!! these are the facts!!

Insurance by anyone else other than Tesla is insanely high. Tesla is half the cost of any other insurer. My wife and I carry separate insurance policies because of this issue. Same thing for my sister in law when she got one. Insuring through Tesla was half the cost so if you check with someone else consider insuring with Tesla is likely half the cost.

What are all these people doing for insurance since the price keeps dropping? Imagine you paid $65K for a new MY last year and still owe $55K on it and it is totaled. The insurance company is going to tell you it is only worth $40K now and that is all they are going to give you. I imagine there are many people in this situation.
Don't most full coverage contracts these days include GAP that just pays off the loan? I think that is usually how it works.

Average price of electricity is $0.15/kwh. so if you charge at home for the costs to be the same you need to get something that does about 70mpg. Check your power costs and if you have TOU and get better rates at night.
$.22 /kwh in SoCal after 9 PM on TOU rates. In 2019 it was $.13 /kwh. Its equivalent to $3 gas now. If the price hikes continue "likely" it will be like $5 gas in a few years. Of course gas itself could be $10 by then.

I bought one of these f**kers at around 53k. My insurance agent told me it was just a few hundred more, turned into 4k insurance for full coverage. Check with several insurances before u get d**ked down by these cars. Also fuel anxiety is real, these f**kers drain around 6% per day when google say 1%. I got screwed so hard, my kidneys are for sale.

Not sure, why I asked. If you paid cash or made a sizeable deposit, guess you will just kiss that money goodbye.....

Name another EV company that can self drive itself on the road as well as a Tesla, and has one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time running it's company (Elon will have a larger legacy than Bill Gates or Steve Jobs once it's all said and done).

Here's a Tesla self driving. Super impressive what Tesla has accomplished:

Thank you, Elon for the wonderful and fantastic and totally bullcrap evaluation of your capabilities as an entrepreneur.

I am considering getting solar installed in my home and want to take advantage of the Solar tax credit.
Curious if there are any issues claiming the full EV tax credit of $7500 and Solar tax credit (30% discount on new installed solar for you home) in the same year 2023? Assuming tax liabilities line 24 on 1040 is greater than the $7500 plus estimating $20,000 for the Solar. Their appear to be less requirements for the Solar tax credit than the EV credit.
