Good price, as is typical the MSRP is inflated though. Would love to see more car audio slick deals.

Hard to get any Alpine amp for this price. Alpine is not top of the line but top of the line for regular folks and not competition. It's like the BMWs for amps but not a Porsche if that makes sense

It's amazing to me that car manufacturers won't put a simple pre-amp out on their stock infotainment systems. I guess they want you to get the $6000 Bose upgrade system. Unfortunately that still won't be half as good as what I do to my cars with 1/3 the costs.

I've used a Kicker KEYLOC to get amazing bass from the stock speaker outs on my brand new Kia K5. Now if only Kicker had a gain knob I could run to the front

Is this a good amp if I wanted to re-do my stock 2008 4Runner system with new speakers, head unit and a sub?

If you're doing 2 channels + subwoofer, this is perfect. Can just bridge 2 of the channels for the subwoofer.

100 percent. I had to add a Rockford DSR1 to my Ford Edge Sony system while removing the factory amp. It works great but was another cost that didn't have to happen pre-infotainment.

83db SNR seems kinda low to me. Any real life experience on sound quality and measured power output?

Some amazon reviews say they have birthsheets with ratings higher than 55.. (92, 98 and 102w). I think I'll pick this up as another backup

Im still rocking my alpine mrd-m500 with an RUX-4280. It's powering an id10 in 2 ohm. Alpine is legit. How are their products now?

Gain knob for the amp? How do you have the KEYLOC connected?

All else fails, PAC LC-1 is a universal option that will work for ya.
