I feel like it's common sense that the motion detection works without the button press but I just want confirmation due to the way that's worded
Edit: you will need a home hub (HomePod or Apple TV) to live you or view your recordings remotely
Yes. The Echo Dot will say "Someone's at the front door". I can also view the live video on my LG C2 OLED by asking Alexa via the remote.
