Warning, the display on this laptop uses PWM strobing at all brightness levels. Some people are sensitive to this and report eye strain and headaches. This is a slow-motion video I took of this laptop on the right and a regular LCD laptop on the left. I ended up returning it.

I have this laptop, which was also purchased Open Box-Excellent from BB a few months ago.

It's great. 16GB RAM is perfect for 95% of users. The screen is incredible. Keyboard is solid, the trackpad is excellent.

The only thing that could be improved is the battery life, so if you plan to be mobile a lot, maybe get something else. But if you plan to use this as a workstation at your desk, you'd be hard pressed to get a better deal than this thing. It really is that good.
Just FYI everyone, this laptop was $799 brand new just recently.

Also fair warning, a screen captured on camera looks very different than it does in person. Y'all remember how CRT screens looked on film vs in person? Not saying this problem doesn't exist, but I doubt it looked exactly like that.

How can there be so many of this model open box? I never understood the open box deals like this one. Are these refurbished? Were they loaned out to Hollywood stars for a night?

I have this laptop with the A370M.

Previously had a laptop with Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EU and the A370M is definitely an improvement - in my experience the Iris Xe was slower and choppier and the A370M is faster and smoother.

I use the laptop for content creation, not gaming.
I think the people saying arc graphics is trash is because when it launched it got a lot of bad reviews.
However, reviews (what few there are) that have updated, say the arc is now pretty decent with updated drivers.
In addition, it's by far the cheapest way to get AV1 codex hardware. Which is supposed to be awesome for streaming and space saving!
I mainly play Rocket League and emulation, so the graphics should be plenty for me Smilie

If history repeats itself, which it seems like at does for laptop sales at BB, we'll see this price again.

Can it be used for office work involving a lot of reading using the screen? Does it cause more eye strain compared to usual IPS screens?

It would be perfect for that. I haven't had any kind of eye strain when using it.
