Got 1 in los angeles. Lots of them in stock. Told them I dont have an account but my friend was able to get one without it. They went to back room and confirmed with their manager and I was able to grab one without an account. Comes out to ~$503.

You DO NOT need to be a VZW customer to get the deal. Plenty of stock as well; guy at the Verizon store here in Texas this morning said they had "like 10 of them" in the back.

Picked up at the local "company" store. They had about 6 more according to the rep.In DMV area. She also said the company has changed there policy and you do not need to be a Verizon member to benefit from this deal.
Also she said the deal is for few days, not sure when is going to end though.

My company store had it in stock, but was saying it was ringing up at full price (higher than even the website). Tried to get me to buy online and pickup for 510 but I passed.

Just went to my store, they said $510.
I showed them this page and they were on their tablet for a while.
Asked me for my phone number and sent me an account security code text. Then they were able to get it to $460 after looking/getting into my Verizon account.

So YMMV on the "no acct/membership needed" part, depends on who's working the store.

Edit: why the downvote? I'm sharing that you might go to the store and get someone who doesn't know how to get the price without putting in a Verizon number. What are you going to do then, argue with them?

just got one. employee said they have plenty and to tell my friends who wants one. they did ask about being a verizon customer but no verification needed. She said the sale started 2 days ago but I'm the first person asking for it. She also checked the xbox s deal for me. the base model is only $50 off $299 now but the extra controller one is $100 off.
