Nice $10 less than a few weeks ago. I hope they keep coming down. Building a PC for my brother in 2 months.

Personally I think the 6650xt or the 6700xt are better deals than this! Still a great card though!

It all depends on price though. Isn't the 6700 XT 7% better? So the price should be at most 7% higher for it to be worth.

Depends. Versus the 66xx cards, it's often overlooked that the 67xx cards have a full x16 pcie lane arrangement. The 66xx cards are the value budget cards, but there's a real disadvantage if you're in the position of plugging any of these in an older pcie3.0 motherboard as that x8 arrangement does hurt. There's also the extra RAM too versus them. I'd go for the 6700xt and up if you find a great deal on it for sure but if $300 is your limit, you're not going to find one at this price (yet).

Yes and no. 7% faster in render performance but 20% more VRAM. (12GB)

The current trend is next-gen console ports coming to PC but poorly optimized because the PS5/Series X have more than 8GB VRAM. Outcome is that there are games that the 6700XT can run well and the 3070TI just chokes on due to the 6700XT having 50% more VRAM than the 3070Ti. I'm these games I expect the XT to perform possibly much better than 7% if they hit the 10GB limit as well.

Extremely notable detail: the included game is one of these such games.

I have the RX 6750 XT and couldn't be happier. Very happy with the RTX 3060 too but dollar for dollar AMD just blows it away. RTX 3060 Is now the most popular card on Steam followed by 2060 and 1060. The RTX 3060 Mobile is 4.75% of players: the RX 6700 XT, RX 6700 and RX 6600 combined barely total 1% of Steam players.

i just bought a Chinese RTX 3060 Mobile GPU on a two fan PCIe card for $134 two days ago. Big Aliexpress sale ended today that deal expired so its back up to $173. I was able to PM 6 people and show them the deal while it was active. They benchmark at 98% of a $349 desktop RTX 3060 in Firestrike and it only uses 80 Watts of power. I will report back once I get the thing.

Problem is - most of those Chinese "mobile" gpus require special drivers. Not worth it unless you are mining.

Sapphire are my long time fav brand since the ATI days. Back when Hong Kong had a slew of really quirky home grown llittle tech companies pushing the envelope in the PC world. Most since moved either to Taiwan or Guangdong

This card was selling for $350 one year ago. I'll wait until I get mine to decide how hard it is to install the drivers of if they are require special drivers. The manufacturer has drivers. Mining has nothing to do with it. How about you want an 80W card for a SFF build that performs like a RTX 3060 because it is one? Worth is in the eye of the beholder though and opinions vary.

actually I take back a bit of what I said: the existence of the RTX 3060 Mobile chip made into PCI cards is because nVidia neutered the hash rate of the desktop 3060 chip but left the 3060 Mobile variant unneutered. That created a marketplace for cards for use in mining. Now the mining is craze is over the price on these brand new cards dropped. It's still a gaming graphics card and much faster than the one in a laptop due to better cooling and faster clocks. That makes it a good low power gaming card too.

Here's the Chinese video card I just got in the mail an hour or so ago since my last post. Notice driver date: April 12, 2023. It's the very newest Adrenalin driver from AMD

Again this isn't the RTX 3060 Mobile I just ordered. This is a Radeon RX 580 2048SP. One of those "used Chinese mining cards" , except it's not. It's a brand new factory fresh Soyo RX 580 I bought direct from the factory on Aliexpress, Sealed, factory packaging with the rubber guard on the PCIe fingers and all the plastic inserts over the HDMI and Display Port ports. I have uploaded images of unboxing it, strictly brand new in factory packaging.

These (see above) are the newest, standard Windows Adrenalin drivers direct from AMD.

I paid $67 shipped to my house, for this graphics card on Aliexpress. It must work because it's the system I am using now as I type this.

Cool story bro but give us some passmarks on the mobile 3060 when you get it.
