I've owned these for a couple years… they started cracked and sticking within months of owning them. I paid $199 for a set of 2. As of now I stopped using them because they're just a hassle. I went ahead and paid up for single weighted dumbbells

Some of those reviews are scary! Breaks within 60 days to 6 months. Warranty only lasts 30 days...

Yes, it was (used like new) $37 - 20% off = $30. Sold by LifePro Outlet.

So it looks like the 20% coupon also applies to used racks sold by them. There are a few left at $41.99 that should be eligible.

So yeah, the reviews from various places online aren't great. They tend to fall apart and Cap doesn't have customer service. So if I decide to keep these I'm buying 2 Asurian 2 year sporting goods warranties for $6 each.

Yup. I have another brand of these adjustable dumbbells, and while they are easy to use and store, the 5lb intervals makes them bad for working out smaller muscle groups or beginners. Its a shame most of these adjustable dumbbells dont have a design that can incorporate using a smaller weight with any of the normal weights. Like even if it was just 2 plastic plates that you had to manually put into position in the stand to have an in-between weight, it would be very nice.

Looks like most of the bad reviews are from 2020-2021. Hopefully CAP made some slight tweaks that fixed them in the newer productions. Wish the plates were metal but regardless for the price, this is great. I'll take the chance on them. If I'm not impressed with the build quality upon receiving them there's always Amazon 30 day return or I can easily resell at cost locally. It probably costs Amazon ~$15-$20 to ship each one even at their shipping rates.
