I've owned these for a couple years… they started cracked and sticking within months of owning them. I paid $199 for a set of 2. As of now I stopped using them because they're just a hassle. I went ahead and paid up for single weighted dumbbells

Some of those reviews are scary! Breaks within 60 days to 6 months. Warranty only lasts 30 days...

At first I was going to say you can't lose at this price but the comments on reliability are making me second guess that. It's probably safer to go with BowFlex or PowerBlock with the latter being my favorite of the two.

I love doing step down weights. Where you max out at 6-8 or 8-10 reps on a weight, completely burned out, then quickly drop 2.5lbs off then do another 6-8 reps. Then repeat until your arms feel "the pump" like Arnold would say. Dropping down 5lbs is just too much. It feels too easy. I love doing that method so I'm going to have to pass on this.
