If you really need a counter-depth refrigerator. This is an AMAZING fridge. Whirlpool is way more reliable than Samsung. This fridge used to cost around $1,799-$2,000. I was going to buy this fridge for $1,699 about 4 months ago at Home Depot. $1,300 is a steal. By Costco, free delivery, free haul away, 2-year warranty, and basic installation.

I have this fridge. It's made in China. It's ok but laid out sort of funny. It's better for a single or couple but not a family with growing kids that never stop eating. Freezer is small and some of it's real estate is taken up by the ice maker. I bought it from lowes a year ago and it's quiet and does what it should.

If you want a true counter depth, you have to give up cu feet, or go wider. What they now consider counter depth these days is crazy to me. They go up 30" deep. Counters are normally 24" deep. A fridge sticking 6" out from the counter is not "counter depth" as far as I'm concerned. Based on my current research any 24 cuft fridge would be closer to 30" deep.

I also find that more cu feet is not always better. We lost crap all the time in the back of our fridge (family of 5). I want less room in the fridge because I want less space for crap to get pushed to the back and get forgotten.

True kind of surprised 28" depth can be considered counter depth!
