Seagate got fined $300 million for selling to China recently, so I am hoping to see their prices tank soon.

670p at $80 is still a safer bet. The only thing you are missing out on is TBW.

No. You want a PCIE 4 drive for the PS5.

Would there be any issue putting one of these in an old Ivy Bridge build with this?

https://www.amazon.com/M-2-Adapte...B07JJTVGZM

Would be used as a secondary drive for more game storage, so no need to boot off it.
LTT did this on a budget build recently. The board just moved the pci-e traces. Worked fine if it's not a boot drive.

Acclamator looks good, has 10% coupon. But good for a boot drive?

Why do you say that it looks good? It's listed at $89.99 and they couldn't sell any and they are slapping another 10% coupon on top of it

PCIe 4x4 NVMe with Read 5000 MB/s looks like an insane deal but as the saying goes, "if it's too good to be true, more times than not, it is"!

So, I wouldn't venture to store data, critical or otherwise, on a no-name no-reviews yet product, fwiw!

There are lots of PCIe 4.0 drives that are much better just north of $100 though.

SP UD90 is $93 right now. The Solidigm P41 Plus is probably a safer bet at $99 coming from Hynix.

Kingston NV2 and PNY CS2140 have been bellow $100, but the other drives I think are better.

Mainland Chinese manufacturer trying to break into the market and undercutting the Taiwanese value brand. It's about what I expect.

Probably a Innogrit IG5220 with YMTC TLC, perfectly good performance and on paper much better than this drive.

I don't have high hopes for quality or service.

Rep to you for posting. Newegg dropped the price to $70. I reported it to Amazon, so hopefully they will match it. Peace

This NVMe SSD is slow, but ok as a second drive for a laptop with two NVMe slots or an external USB-C NVMe enclosure. Applause

Hynix took over Intel's QLC business. It wasn't too long ago that people were complaining about TLC performance and endurance.

That would cause their prices to go up, not down.
