Couldn't find the rebate but did find this offer for a $20 gift card if you buy two 5 quart bottles. They don't have Amazon listed as a retailer though.

Its close enough that you probably could get away with it but it's not recommended to run thinner oil in your car than you should. Especially if you live in warmer climates.

fark these greedy ass companies. Ultra platinum has gone from $20-25 for a 5 quart bottle to $50-60.

Please don't. These thin oils exist to maximize mpg at the expense of your engine.

viscosity is not the only property one should be concerned with in an engine oil. tribologists are paid lots of money to formulate oils that frankly have not been the root cause of most car failures for decades now.

Does the Pennzoil rebate work with Amazon? I don't see them in the dropdown on the rebate page.

This is why 5w-20 came about. Initially they didn't change the engines at all and those cars used to take 5w-30 so they drank oil.

The new 0w-16 are in a similar place. I wouldn't use 0w-16 if you live in a warm climate.

lol, 0w-16... to get an extra 0.1% MPG, it is worth it? this is entirely for CAFE requiremnts.

keep in mind the NONE US Camry, like the Australia, that runs the same 2AR-FE engine, recommend 0W-20, 5W-20 5-30W for below 0F environment, and 15W-40 for above 10F environment.

you cannot tell me toyota put 0-W16 with their engine life span in mind, same as "life time" transmission oil.

no, but you can put 0w20 in a car that takes 0w16.
