After finally investing in some shears that easily come apart for cleaning, I will never go back to this kind, just my advice if you use them on meat.

This. Also, shears that don't come apart are near impossible to sharpen well.

You can get good quality shears for a great price, it's not a good deal just because KitchenAid is printed on it.

These are routinely $6 at Ross and have been in stock regularly near me for the last year. YMMV I guess

These turn into a rusty mess in a year if you don't dry it bone dry after cleaning. Waste of $7

This is the exact same shears I have been using in my kitchen everyday for the last 6 years. https://www.amazon.com/Wusthof-WU...631ZM?th=1
Unfortunately I don't know what is considered as a good price today. I purchased them in a 2pc set (Wusthof shears + 3.5" pairng knife) for $15 back then. I have also gifted 3 sets to my family member and friends. They all like them.

There are terrible quality. I went through two pairs in a matter of weeks because they have an inherent design flaw. All the pressure of your cut goes onto a single small point where the plastic handle meets the metal. Because the handle doesn't wrap around the metal, the plastic quickly wears out in that tiny spot, and then the handle won't stay on any more. These are not worth even this price. I bought some generic ones from Amazon that were much better quality and about the same price.

I've had kitchenaid shears for 8+ years and they are still sharp and no rust. It is a bit loose where the rivet is but that's to be expected. We use them almost daily. I don't know if the quality declined on them though.

I've had these for a life time. Don't see any rust but they just start sucking at cutting things that aren't food after a while, (paper and thin plastic bags because the blades aren't right anymore )they still cut chicken and veggies no problem, wish they had that little flower stem cutting notch though lol

These aren't $7 or $12 but I got them for $16 a year ago and now $18. We like them and specifically wanted some for food and you can never get the ones that don't come apart clean.

If you guys have Daiso in the area, these can be bought for like $3.25 each.
Just my 2 cents.
