Question: Can you upgrade the RAM?

Answer: No it is soldered. It comes with low voltage LPDDR4x 4266 MHz Ram.

Also, is the MX450 actually better than the integrated graphics of a Ryzen 7 5700u?

I guess it will at least offload the graphics memory sharing.

Mx450 is definitely better than 5700u graphics.
AMD had a big leap with the 6000 series graphics. So whether mx450 is better than 6800u graphics I'm not sure.

I bought the Ryzen 5 version of this for my wife 10 months ago. It's identical specs to this apart from the processor and I paid $427. It's a good looking, well-built, lightweight laptop that does everything she needs (mainly browsing and MS Office with some video editing). I'd definitely recommend it, although personally I wouldn't buy a 16:9 laptop (prefer 4:3).

I originally bought it open-box but returned it for a new version as it looked very used. The last two items I bought open box from BB have been sent back.
