Earn $400 for opening a new Truist One Checking account online from 4/17/23 through 6/1/23 and completing at least 2 qualifying Direct Deposits* totaling $1,000 or more within 90 days of account opening..

*A qualifying Direct Deposit is an electronic credit (greater than $0.00) of your salary, pension, Social Security or other regular monthly income deposited into your new checking account by your employer or outside agency. Transfers made from one account to another or deposits made via a branch, ATM, online transfer, mobile device, debit/prepaid card number or the mail are not eligible direct deposits.

Offer Eligibility: Account holder must be 18 or older at the time of account opening. Truist employees, Directors, Officers, and Local Boards/Advisors are not eligible. Offer available only to US residents with a valid US taxpayer identification number. The qualifying checking account must be opened online and have a mailing address in: AL, AR, GA, FL, IN, KY, MD, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV or DC.

Reward Processing: The reward will be deposited into the new checking account within 4 weeks of verifying the Direct Deposit qualification requirement. Promotion is only applicable once per checking account and per client. Truist may report the value of any offer reward received to the IRS as required by law. Any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Reward Forfeiture: The new checking account must remain open and in good standing with a balance ≥$0.01 until the reward is processed in order to receive the reward. Reward forfeiture will occur if: (1) the checking account is changed to an account type not included in this client offer, (2) the checking account is closed prior to the reward being processed, or (3) the new checking account has a negative available balance at the time of qualification validation. 

Other Terms: Minimum opening deposit is $50. The offer is non-transferable, may not be combined with any other checking offers, is subject to change, and may be discontinued at any time. Truist reserves the right in our sole discretion to prohibit a reward payout to non-eligible individuals for any offers claimed through third-party websites with no affiliation or prior authorization from Truist. 2 Overdraft related fees are considered overdraft fees, returned item fees, negative account balance fees, or overdraft protection transfer fees

3 The $100 Negative Balance Buffer is only available with Truist One Checking and allows eligible clients to overdraw their account up to $100.

All eligibility requirements below must be met to initially qualify for the $100 Negative Balance Buffer:

Account must be opened for a minimum of 35 calendar days
Account must be funded and have a positive balance
A single direct deposit of at least $100 per month must be made for 2 consecutive months
To remain qualified for the $100 Negative Balance Buffer, the requirement below must be met:

A recurring direct deposit of at least $100 per month
For accounts that qualify for the $100 Negative Balance Buffer and also have Overdraft Protection, Truist will use the $100 Negative Balance Buffer first. If the account has neither, transactions that exceed the account balance will typically be declined or returned.

5 Most Truist One checking accounts start in Level 1 upon account opening and can begin increasing levels following the first month. Thereafter, Truist One Checking levels are determined by the balance in your Truist One Portfolio ("Portfolio"). Your Portfolio includes all eligible Truist consumer deposit balances in your checking accounts, savings, Certificates of Deposit, IRAs and/or all investments through Truist Investments Services, Inc. where you are the primary or secondary account owner. For each of your accounts used in the Portfolio, we use the monthly average ledger balance. We then take the sum of all of these accounts to determine the Portfolio balance for the month. Each month, your level is based on the highest Portfolio value of the three previous months. Leveling up can occur on a monthly basis, but leveling down can only occur on a three-month basis.

Accounts that are opened with a company ID code through a company sponsored Financial Wellness program start at Level 2; Clients identified as Truist Premier and Wealth start at Level Premier. The monthly maintenance fee waiver and any other associated benefits can take up to two (2) business days to take effect.

Level 1: $0-$9,999.99
Level 2: $10,000-$24,999.99
Level 3: $25,000-$49,999.99
Level 4: $50,000-$99,999.99
Level Premier: $100,000 and up

7 The Delta SkyMiles® Debit Card annual fee is charged 45 days after the open date of the card. For Truist One, existing Truist Dimension and existing Signature Advantage Checking accounts, the initial annual fee will be based on the sum of highest monthly average ledger balance of your combined eligible Truist consumer deposit balances on that date. Eligible Truist consumer deposit balances includes all checking, savings, Certificate of Deposit, Individual Retirement Account and/or all consumer investments through Truist Investment Services, Inc. titled in the owner or the co-owners name. Thereafter, for Truist One, existing Truist Dimension and existing Signature Advantage Checking, we will use the highest average monthly ledger balance of the 3 most previous months to determine your annual fee. Annual fee tiers are defined as follows: a) highest 3 month average ledger balance of less than $25,000 is charged an annual fee of $95 b) highest 3 month average ledger balance of $25,000 and less than $100,000 is charged an annual fee of $75 and c) highest 3 month average ledger balance of $100,000 or more is charged an annual fee of $25. Annual fee will be calculated at the end of the month prior to the annual fee being charged. For Truist Wealth and Truist Asset Management Checking account clients, the annual fee will be discounted to $0. For Delta SkyMiles® cards opened before July 15, 2015 and not associated with a Truist One, Truist Dimension Checking or Signature Advantage Checking Account, the annual fee is $95. This seemed like an easy, straightforward bonus, but has turned into a nightmare. My account was frozen for no reason and I was told that I will "never" be able to withdraw my funds. There is a direct deposit in process that I am not sure I will be able to stop in time and the representative told me it "should" go through, but "again, you will never be able to withdraw the funds." I have already filed a CFPB complaint and will be visiting a branch tomorrow.

The company is terrible. I got stuck with them when they bought-out my local bank. They soon after closed my account and did not tell me. I kept getting statements showing money in the account every month. When I wrote a check on the account, it bounced. I don't have access to my money now but the statements keep coming.

Yea, no go. Terrible experience as well. Support took over a week to get back with me and said it didn't qualify and it was past the deadline already. Total BS and not worth the time.
