Great game, and a fire price. I paid about $20-30 more originally

Love Dice Throne. Had I not gotten these in the Kickstarter, I'd jump on this deal.

Wish other companies would learn from these guys on how to package a game. The shelf to table experience for this game is immaculate and cleanup is just as simple. Gameplay is a lot of fun too.

Everything Roxley makes is packaged so well, and the components are always great quality. I did the 8 character battle chest for this when it was on Kickstarter, and have S1 and S2, plus Dice Throne Adventures.

At this price it is a no-brainer. You get 4 characters at just a few dollars above MSRP for a 2 character box. If you enjoy it, you can go deeper and buy the non-Marvel characters.

Age says 8 and up. Is this truly appropriate for an 8 year old? Seems kind of complex based on reading the description.

Yeah I've done all the KS for this game. I love the co-op campaign too.

Depends what board games the kid is playing. However, there are better dice throne characters for a child that has never played this game before if you are worried about difficulty. The characters in this box are difficulty 2 through 4 out of 5.

Decent game. More complicated asymmetrical King of Tokyo/Yatzee. Don't hate it, don't love it. Certainly a deal at this price. I think I paid $55 for my copy.

I really love the concept of this (except I'm a classic Spider-Man fan) and want to pick it up, but I still have the complete S1, S2 and Adventures sets sitting here in their shipping boxes from the Kickstarter a couple of years ago.
The arrival of the Kickstarter stuff came just as things took a turn in my house so that I haven't had a chance to get them out and play them (and I have a few other games that I bought just before they arrived that are in the queue too).

I did play S1 and S2 stuff at some board game meetups I went to before Covid, so they aren't quite as bad as my video game backlog (where many games were not touched in any form).

I loved the Marvel Legendary series that was done a long time ago too, and managed to collect 4 or so expansions from that. I guess I'm a sucker for good Marvel board games. The co-op nature is what really sells me most though, and is why I ended up giving in to the Kickstarter, to get Adventures.

I guess it would be good to know how this compares to the Season 1 and Season 2 stuff. Is this "just" a reskin of some of those characters? Or maybe just tweaks? Something wholly new? If the latter, how well does it work with the originals, or is this really meant to be played separately? As a long shot, does this work with Adventures?
(Something I may actually motivate myself to look up in the future, if I remember when I have the time.)

Everything is compatible, even adventures. It's just more characters and they are unique not copies. A lot of the chars are on the more difficult side to play. Scarlett and Loki are hard to play and spiderman can be tough to get going but when he works, it feels good.
