Seems like good specs for the price. The 40-series is releasing soon (or released?) so they're probably just trying to clear these from inventory. Most likely this is a bought/opened/returned unit and should have it's full warranty on it. I have the 3070ti version of this from a price mistake a few months ago and the quality feels solid on it. The keyboard has a really nice feel, like the aspect ratio and I have no complaints on the build at least in the time I've used it (I mostly use my desktop though)

The 4000s have already been out for a while now. However, 4060 and 4070 performances have been disappointing and are hardly an upgrade from the 3000 counterparts, esp given their price in laptops.
4060Ti is set to release next month and people have high expectations from it.
The 4050 hits somewhere near the 3060 but a full powered 3060 still manages to beat it in some titles. The lowest 4050 laptops available right now is $950 but they all have garbage screens.
So, yes imo this is a very good deal.

Hard disagree about the 40 series in laptops. I bought an Open Box 4060 laptop from bestbuy recently and after $95 of rewards back on my BestBuy credit card, paid $807. There simply isnt much data on mobile 4060's right now, especially the mid wattage variants.
The 75 watt middle of the pack 4060 is a very strong performer in my opinion, I benchmarked it on FireStrike vs my previous 85 watt 3060 Acer laptop. The 4060 was 31% faster, despite having 10 watts lower TDP. Both were hard limited with no wattage boost, to 75 and 85 watts respectively.
So with the 40 series you get better efficiency, better RTX/Tensor cores, Frame Generation tech and 8GB VRAM instead of 6GB on the outgoing 3060 laptop model, much more futureproof, especially on the VRAM side. You cant tell me the mobile/laptop 4060 is an underwhelming chip because its just not, its a worthy upgrade over the 3060 in my opinion. Now on the desktop side, it may very well end up being quite underwhelming, time will tell.
The fact that I can get 170 watt TDP RTX 3060 desktop levels of performance out of this 75 watt mobile chip is incredible to me. Both RTX 3060 desktop and my 4060 mobile score around 9200 graphics score on TimeSpy. With a solid +200 MHz on the core and +1000 Mhz on the memory I managed a 9700 graphics score in TimeSpy. Quite respectable for a 75 watt chip, im sure I could push the core a bit more and create a custom frequency/voltage curve but ive not yet had time.
The desktop RTX 3060 (evga rtx 3060 xc gaming) vs 75 watt laptop 4060 in TimeSpy, you'll note they both scored roughly 9200 in the graphics score, this is incredible performance in a 75 watt envelope: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/sp...y/20412676

lag depends on number of units on the map, internet connection etc.
I have 3060ti, it runs fine , i have played with 3060 too, the only issue might be the QHD resolution - which will make it work a bit harder...

Here is my result of the 4060 vs the 3060:

Even more impressive is the fact that a 140 watt RTX 3070 laptop was only 16.8% faster in TimeSpy than my 75 watt RTX 4060 laptop:
