I guess it's just me who thinks this is a fantastic deal on legit Barbie's? I bought 3 (the max) last time around for my daughters to give as presents when they go to birthday parties…

Toy deals never seem to get a crazy huge response on Slickdeals. I don't know why that is, but I always appreciate seeing them, even if I'm not interested in the specific toy in the deal.

It's kind of insensitive to make the Barbie with a prosthetic half off.

As long as it's the left half, it'll be all right.

I'm waiting for Divorce Barbie... she comes with half of Ken's stuff.

For those who don't mind Barbie and the whole issue it creates in the minds of young impressionable girls, this is a good deal. I for one neither buy Barbie for my kids nor for others'. There are many other dolls who your kid can nurture and play imaginative play with that look more realistic and don't inculcate an impossible aspirational standard of physical beauty and create self esteem issues and inferiority complex.

True, but other dolls are even worse. Do the still sell Bratz? Monster high? I always thought Barbies looked quite elegant. Are their bodies unrealistic? Sure. But so are most FB profile pics and TikTok reels. Also, Barbie has lately release a doll for almost every type one can think of. I would give them some point for that. I'm sure Mattel takes a financial hit on these specialty dolls as I usually see them in the clearance section. Probably not the intended outcome. The only reason I clicked on this is that I rarely see a, how would I say this without offending... I guess I can't. A "typical" Barbie deal.

Edit: oh wait. I just saw the rest of the options besides the pink haired one. So... yeah.

Barbie has gone above and beyond to make dolls to show that everyone is different and diverse. Ranging from skinny, to curvy, prosthetic legs, wheelchairs, different skin tones, and careers. I would think the opposite and not creating an issue in young minds. I was going to get a couple of these to teach my young daughter that everyone in fact is different in their own way.

Thanks for your reply. It is a good beginning I guess.

Thanks for replying. And lol, my kids don't have access to social media so luckily they don't get to see that fake stuff either. I guess Mattel is making amends and in today's world, every corporation wants to be PC / woke.

Yawn. I played with wrestlers and super heroes as a kid. They had more muscles than a Greek God. Didn't do a damn thing to my psyche

The way the "New Since Last Visit" label showed across the top of the picture blocking the microphone, it looked like she was standing next to a stripper pole.

What a weird thing to go from "I won't buy them because of the negative body-expectations it has on my kids" to using a dumb phrase like "PC/woke" when someone pointed out Mattell had made efforts to change them.

Make it make sense
