Been wanting to get my wife an Immersion Blender. I like the space saving aspect of this one. Can get rid of the chunky hand mixer. Plus I'm a sucker for Ninja products ๐คท.
One consideration for me is having a soft/silicon end to blend in a non-stick pot without scratching up the bottom. If that isn't a use case for you it probably comes down to which of the additional tools is more relevant to you. I am not particularly impressed by the Ninja brand, but this is a 650w motor vs. 500w with the Braun.

I'm in for 1.
The immersion blender is the best I've used. The coated blade base and design prevent the suction effect when you touch the bottom of your bowl. The whisk + 1 cup cold heavy cream + 2 tbs of powdered sugar + dash of vanilla = fresh whipped cream in about 60 seconds
I'm not a fan of the mixer attachment though. The balance on it is weird- makes it awkward to hold.
Costco set not only comes with a chopper ($30 value), but is overall cheaper as well.
Rtings also has this immersion blender rated pretty high for the cost. A little better than the Braun.

He thinks a 20$ 250w mixer compares to this 750w one
