If you had a rewards point balance prior to this change, and do not currently have a bestbuy credit card, I think they are issuing certificates rounded up to the nearest $5 increment.
It also appears to be a slow phased rollout. My account was issued a $5 certificate about a week ago and my point balance was adjusted to 0.
Pretty much lost thousands in business from my company as a result of their changes to the rewards program last year. I won't pay for a Total Tech membership and have no use for their credit card.

I'm not one to fall for these membership programs, but I'm renewing Total Tech. Gotta install speakers in the basement now…
Then in 2023 they cancel their non-credit card rewards program, and now I have received two $5 certificates in 2023 for not shopping there anymore.
