I have been unlocking it since iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, etc. George Hotz's software really works. I do not like Rsim. It is not reliable. I saw posts like these again and again several times. (People promoting that Rsim does really works. And newbies who have no idea what they are talking about stating that rsim does work. ) Then, I thought Rsim must be really good. I bought it from eBay. It doesn't work. I thought I received the faulty one. Seller sent me another one. It doesn't work. I bought it from another seller. It still doesn't work. Then, I bought it from another seller again. It works, but it does not work soon after. Then, I gave up rsim. A few years later I gave up Rsim, people posted the same thing again. You can unlock your iPhone with rsim. It is very easy and very good, blah, blah, blah. Then, I thought I might have purchased the defective or fake Rsim. I thought they must change or update it over the years. I purchased it again. The same thing happened to me many times over the years. I just wasted time and money for rsim. It doesn't worth it even if it is $1. It does not work most of the time. It is just a temporary unlock. After that, you will get stuck with locked phones anyway.

This seems like the best deal minus the 12 month unlocking period.
Hopefully metro pcs has an iPhone 12 deal soon but those dealers will add several extras as in the past.

I purchased about 5 5gb 3month plans on sale at best buy and its been a little more than a year with switching those active sim cards into my phone without letting time lapse and it has not unlocked.
I'm not saying I expected it to but I did have hope. I have one sim card left to activate and if it doesnt activate after that, I may try a yearly plan to see what happens. Im only considering this because the service is now tmobile on the backend and I can tolerate that over sprint which is what boost mobile use to be.
