How did you keep the mold and mildew out of this I bought one and the thing got moldy within a week with all the humidity in Florida and also in the bathroom

If youre getting mold on your bath mat, its because your bathroom is moldy. You clean off all the bacteria on your feet in the shower, so there really should be no reason for the mat to develop mold unless you have a pre-existing mold problem.
