Does anyone else hate Costco's website? They're so far behind Sam's club when it comes to checking stock, ordering online, scan and go, etc.

For example, many of their TVs say "delivery available" and when you click on it, it says "delivery not available and not available for pickup". This is 2023 and Costco's living in 1999.

Note: Costco's Spend and Get promotion increased $100 overnight. All prices have now dropped an additional $100 from yesterday. I have submitted a price adjustment request for my purchase. Hope they honor it or I will be canceling and repurchasing.

It's so they can keep the hotdog $1.50... corners need to be cut somewhere. For me none of the TV's are the price the op posted. Is this in store only? I'm logged in to the website too.
These TVs qualify for 200 off on 1000$+. Thats how you get this price

LED is dying technically. in 2 years OLED will be the norm and plain LED will be what happened to DLP, plasma, LCD, etc.
Even if it were to diminish in the consumer market - think about the millions of screens used to display menus, waiting times, ads etc etc at places around the world. No way would it make sense to use OLED for static imagery or for displaying things in very bright and/or outside environments. As others have said, LED isn't going anywhere.

ULED is just fancy marketing for normal LED (also QLED, Quantum dot, nanocell). There is a white backlight and each screen pixel lets some light through to make it colorful. OLED is little individual little lightbulbs giving off color.

OLED is more expensive with current technology, uses more electricity, has better contrast, tends to be more vibrant, and if you do not go full brightness it tends to use something called PWM which is turning the light on and off quickly to approximate lower brightness and give some people headaches.

LED on the other hand has many different implementations and there is no way of summarizing all of its attributes. These TV goes from $300 to $1000 for a 65" set so you can expect a variety of quality levels.

So I have been waiting for the OLED 77 inch C2 to go back on sale (Currently $2600+) but.....that UQ8000 86 inch monster for around $1000 has me second guessing the OLED. Granted I know OLED pictures are super sharp and awsome but the reviews of the UHD LED seem to indicates its pretty good. So I have to decide if an OLED that is 2.5 times the price is worth it. Any suggestions?? My daughter has an XBOX series X so that a big part of the use of the TV.
These TVs don't in any way compare to OLED. Especially for gaming. The LG C2 OLED is where it's at, unless you have the money for the G2, but even then, the G2 isn't necessary. The C2 is amazing. It's in a completely different league from any Hisense TV.

warning.......glad I found this

The Samsung Q80 QLED TV has a mediocre native contrast ratio, even with the local dimming enabled. Blacks look gray in the dark, and it has visibly worse contrast in real content than the Samsung Q80/Q80A QLED. Keep in mind that the 50 and 85 inch models have VA panels with much better contrast. Also, note that you can't easily disable the local dimming on Samsung TVs, as you need to do it through the service

Warning number 2 (I guess I just wait for the Sony 90 to go on sale again)

The Hisense U7H has decent gray uniformity. There's some noticeable dirty screen effect in the center of the screen, which can be distracting when watching sports or browsing the web. There's very little vignetting, though, as the sides of the screen aren't much darker than the center. Uniformity in near-black scenes is better, but there are some noticeable uniformity issues and raised blacks, especially on the right side of the screen.

So it had to be in the center....not the corner or sides....dead center...

ummm.....I think that might be tough not to look dead center at a TV...

They can't sell TVs for twice this cost if these $1500 TVs were perfect. Just gotta choose what is/isn't important to you.

The LG went for 1000 with the warranty not too long ago. That was a better deal I'd say?

There's an opportunity to "double dip" on these promotions. In addition to the Spend $X, get $X discount, there's also a buy a quantity of X qualified product, get $X off.

Here's an example:

If you buy 2 Hisense 55" TVs ($269): https://www.costco.com/.product.9755165.html

and 3 LG 55" TVs ($399): https://www.costco.com/.product.9755800.html

You will get both promotions: $400 for buy 5 qualified products and $500 for spending $2000+. Bringing the total for the 5 TVs down to $1,100. You can mix/match to find a better deal for what you are looking for. Just wanted to point out the deal opportunities that exist with the double promotion.

DSE varies from unit to unit though. Although all LCDs will have some DSE, one panel may be worse than another even on the exact same product.

I'm so farking happy with my Hisense U7H 75". I bought the TV because of the review and score rtings gave it: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u7h

It's the first time I've bought a "budget" tv and i'm so happy I did. 4k picture is unreal and I can game 4k @ 120hz on my xbox. I can't believe I paid only $900 for it. I got the extra 4 year warranty for like $100 which was worth it to me for the peace of mind.
