FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 8 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.
- Other chase cards may have special offers for Staples ($ limited). Check your chase account under chase offers.

Isn't it denoted as 5% back cash-back if you don't have a Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred or Ink business preferred?

And then 5X UR if you have any of those cards?

Do you typically *register* all of your cards when you buy them or activate one by one when you run out of money on an individual card?

edit: meant to say "register"

My mistake. I mean to ask, do you register them all at once.

Can you elaborate on the hack part? What was the timeline of the draining of funds, did it look tampered at all, what did you provide as proof of investigation?

So I register the card about 2 weeks before i actually use. When I use to buy something on Amazon the card declined, then I check the balance and show 0 , a charge all $200 to some weird not legit site. I called the back number to dispute, they ask for card infor, address, merchant name etc... then waited for 3 moths for their decision. Here is the final email from them:

Dear XXX,
We have concluded our investigation regarding your disputed transactions totaling $200.00. The credit issued to your account on 2023-03-22 for $200.00 is final. As such, your case is considered resolved and closed.
Due to the claim of unauthorized activity on your account, we have replaced your card as a security precaution. Replacing your card will help protect your account and stop unauthorized activity from continuing. You should receive your card within 7 to 10 business days for US addresses, and 15 to 20 business days for Canadian addresses.
Keep your new card and account secure: To activate your card or check your account balance online do not Google the website address or open a custom URL. Type the web address just how it appears on the back of your card/ or listed with your virtual card into your browser address bar or call the number on the back of the card to activate or check account balance.
If you have any questions or need help related to your dispute case, please respond to this email which will link back to your dispute case and we will get back to you within 10 business days. We appreciate your business and value you as a customer.
Sincerely,

Cardholder Dispute Services

"- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership."

Does that mean I can't buy these to use towards my Chase rewards spending requirements?

there is fee which is waived and no tax to buy this
but there is tax when you actually use the gift card depending on which location/store you will use.

Went to get the Mastercard deal a month ago and they had none. Anyone have tips on how to get any other than the obvious of going as soon as they open?
