IMO, if All-Clad were a Toyota, the Demeyere would be a Lexus.
You do not really appreciate no rivets until you have used a pan without them.

The Demeyere just feels better made and seems to be better able to release the foods.

Of all the pans that I own and use, the Demeyere is my favorite.

Much better, IMO. No rivets, easier to clean, faster heat-up time. I have this pan, love it! If I were to do it all over again, I would not buy All-Clad, I'd go with Demeyere.

I would say they are equivalent but some would give the edge to Demeyere for fit/finish and the handle comfort. I believe it is a bigger brand than All-Clad in Europe as they are based in Belgium, was family-owned for a while till they sold to Zwilling-Henckel.

I love Demeyere, we have an Atlantis set but my most used pan is from the Industry 5 line. The handle on that is fairly squared off, utilitarian and the one in this post looks much nicer to hold. Love the giant wishbone handle and no rivets that make the pots so easy to clean inside and even outside around the handle. Great on induction but I still reach for the cast iron for most searing since it's easier to use and heats up to searing temp in under 20 seconds.

They are both quality brands. Keep in mind that there are different lines of each brand. A distinguishing difference between the two are rivets vs rivitless. Many who have experienced pans without rivets find it hard to go back because of how easy it is to scrape every last bit out and clean the inside of the pan.

I have both and reach for the demeyere first every time. You won't regret the purchase.

No non-stick?
Nope. This is an excellent stainless steel pan and one that will last years of heavy use vs non-stick pans that have coatings which fail after a few years. It's a bit of a learning curve, but once you are used to cooking on stainless, especially well finished stainless like this, almost nothing sticks.

I still haven't mastered scrambled eggs in stainless, but they are the only thing I've had any sticking issues with.

Also of note is that you can develop a much better fond and better sear on stainless than any non-stick, and you don't have to worry about scratching the coating or have a risk of the coating leeching into your food.

I have multiple pans in the Industry 5 line and love them. They work great on induction too!

Just a note- you may want to measure your burners and compare them to the bottom diameter of this pan before purchasing.

The Toyota/Lexus comparison is pretty good. All-Clad makes high-quality, highly functional, highly durable stainless clad pans. The Demeyere 5+ pans are much, much thicker and heavier, which means they retain heat better and are great performers on modern induction cooktops.

Are you a "tosser?" If lightweight handling and responsiveness is important to you, then some would argue that All-Clad D3 hits the sweet spot of being just heavy and well-constructed enough for outstanding durability while still being light and responsive and (relatively) affordable.

If those aren't your priorities and you don't mind paying a bit more, give Demeyere a try. A lot of people have a heavier Demeyere for searing and braising, and some All-Clad pieces for more responsive applications.

Thanks OP, I'm in for one. I've been wanting to upgrade our 10+ year old stainless Kirkland Signature set made by Tramontina for a bit now, seems like this is a nice way to give Demeyere a whirl.

They do have a 9.5" non-stick for 89.95 [cutleryandmore.com] but I would generally suggest the stainless steel for overall gen purpose

Depends on you are looking for. This pan is thicker (3mm) than All-Clad equivalents (2.6mm) so it will retain heat and even heat better and more warp resistant especially on induction. Trade off is it would be heavier and in theory could take a bit longer to heat up (but probably not noticeable).

Same here. I evaluated a set of Cuisinart Multi-Clad Pro and All-Clad 4 years ago and ended up with Multi-Clad Pro and 2 All-Clad pans. Didn't know about Demeyere.

Picked up a 9" Demeyere Atlantis from Costco 3 years ago and never looked back. it (Atlantis line) is just a better built pan than All-Clad. I don't have to worry about induction warping Atlantis but both All-Clads are slightly warped.
